Canon P

Rangefinder alignment can be an issue. You can adjust the horizontal registration by removing the screw on the front face of the camera. Once you do that, then use a tiny screwdriver to reach the horizontal adjustment inside. The vertical adjustment is a little harder to reach, but of course it's not as critical.

Did that, it's something with how the prism is done in the Nikon, there's
looks like some kind of line thru one of the viewfinder prism. in certain
light it's fine but when there's light coming into the viewfinder directly
I can see it.

My J8 can not screw on my Canon 7, is there any compatibility problem?

There shouldn't be, unless you have one of the older J8's with a focus tab, and that hits the meter housing. I don't have a Canon 7 at hand so I can't check the clearance. Otherwise there should not be a problem. I have used that combination without trouble. The focus cam on the J8 is rather thin, and could possibly misalign. Try mounting it when set to minimum focal distance.

I put a roll a film in the "P" today and went to a camera store and tried out
a Leica 5cm f2.8 lens, it was a bit stiff but the canon film advance was smooth
and the rangefinder focusing was really good.

I considered buying a Canon P many times. I really liked the 1:1 viewfinder of the Nikon S2 that I used to have.
After reading the first few positive comment regarding this camera, I decided to go for it and I bought a Canon P with a 50mm Super Rokkor lens. Can't wait to try it. Will see...

I loved the S2, and the viewfinder was great, but I did not like that much the shutter speeds dial and framelines only for 50mm.
The Canon P seems to have a better shutter dial and more framelines. I really like to use 35mm lenses too. I am very curious about the Super Rokkor lens.
Hopefully the camera will look good.
Thanks
