Canon QL17

I have one that came with a leather case. It was rather thin and flimsy. I have never used it. My Canonet 19, the small version (same size as the Canonet 17), came with a case that was much thicker and stiffer. I keep the Canonet 19 in it just to keep them together, but I would be very comfortable to carry either the 17 or the 19 in it.

It depends on which model QL17 you have. The first variation of the compact QL17 with the 40mm f/1.7 lens and manual or auto setting came with a plastic case. The newer QL17 GIII came with a leather case. I have a couple new-in-the-box cameras with their original cases. The leather cases are prone to getting moldy, though they are very well made, and fit more nicely and have a nicer finish than the uber-expensive accessory cases people buy for Leicas and such.
