Canon RF Lens Deal Of The Week!

I bought the other package, but with a 7. I've looked at the 7s, and even the camera's shutter is wrinkle free, not to mention that the original filter is also presented.

That 7s/0.95 combo sounds high on the BIN, but look again. The brightline 50mm finder is very valuable with that lens, and is quite a scarce item. To top that, the scarcer genuine lens shade is also included. I've seen those sell for over $250, alone.

IF the camera is in excellent shape, both mechanically and cosmetically, and the rest of the package also shapes up, it may be a fair deal. Not a bargain, certainly, but a fair price for a difficult to duplicate package. For someone with the money and the inclination, it makes for one-stop-shopping of a tough group to assemble.

I'm fortunate enough to own all but the finder. I make do nicely, with the also excellent Leica 50mm. And I also am fortunate enough to own 2 of the 7s, and the 7sz to boot!! Not bragging, as I paid solid prices for most of the gear, but it is fun to use. The 7s shooter is in my bag with the M3, and there is really little difference in quality between them. The finder on the M3 is better, but the full upen back of the 7s pretty much offsets that advantage in regular shooting. Either would make the average shooter happy, IMHO.

Well here was another GOOD DEAL ~

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270225395833&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017

Not cheap, but to find a COMPLETE f1.8 35mm RF lens is`nt as easy as one thinks
*and the bad rap this lens gets is a bunch of horsehockey*

This also had the added collectibility of the <EP> Exchange Post/Export Paid engraving

Mine is shooting amazing, 🙂 I`m loving it and I haven`t gotten any nasty flare from it at all either (and a use a Canon 40mm adapter ring and a half hood)

Now, I need a mint hood for the Canon 50mm.

Which one?

I find them all the time (cept f1.2 and f0.95) almost everything else I`ve seen or have owned, I try to make it a priority that I get the original hoods with every lens I buy - it might cost an average of $50 extra, but it`s worth it to me

The hood for the f0.95.There is one being sold for >$600, but without the leather case.

Hmm last deal I saw on one of these was $140 out of Germany - I know how cherished these things are and I *love* my original hoods - but paying over $150 for any of them is a little maddning - with some luck and a little waiting maybe one will show up for less than $250 someday - $600 is mad -
You could buy lot`s of great little Leica or Canon/Nikkor LTM goodies for that much 😀

In a crunch if you need to get something to hold you over till then (just to shoot with!) try a 72mm screw-on wideangle hood - some fella on ebay was sellin them for like $15 or less I think?
