Canon RF lenses on M Leica?

Like Wayne said, for wide angles I prefer CV lenses, more bang for the buck. The CV 28/3.5, 28/1.9 and 40/1.4 are hard to beat.

I have used the 35/2 and it's very sharp.

You cann't go wrong with any of the fast 50s, 50/1.5, 50/1.4 and 50/1.2 (I own all three). The 50/1.2 and 1.5 are great for portraits. The 1.4 is a phantastic general purpose lens, quite compact, nice OOF behavior and sharp across the frame, also wide open. Also the 50/1.8 is supposed to be outstanding (but I never used it). The fast Canon 50s have a long throw, so you need a good LTM/M adapter.

One of these days I will get me either an 85/1.8 or 100/2, more likely the 100/2.

Best,

Roland.

I've got the 35mm 2.8, which is a fine lens, but hasn't seen a lot of use in my lineup. I've got an M8 on order, though, and will use it at least for a time as my "standard" lens. Pix to come.

Along these lines, I'm waiting on another Serenar: the 85/2 which should be a marvellous complement to my Canon selection.
