You guys really mean that these Canons go for thousands? I thought it's just a typo...

Would be a typo for chrome ones Pherdi, but if it is black...

Some time ago a REALLY beaten up black one went for >$1600 on the bay, so go figure...

it's ok.

if you took the time and energy you could probably find each item and get it for less money per.
but here it's all packaged up nicely for you. everything looks like it's in good shape.
do you want a fast 50? and that ugly meter on top of a beautiful p?
decisions...
if i had the extra cash in the camera budget i might go for it.

Canon RFs in factory black finish go for a lot more than the same models in chrome. That's only because the black ones are rare and sought-after, not because they take better pictures than the chrome ones!

[Still pondering if/how to refinish my P, which is clean and working but has somewhat scruffy chrome. Current leading choices are hammertone gray and black crackle. Any other nominations from the floor?)

480 plus shipping that's around 250 per item, which would be a good price for each one if they are in excellent condition.

My short eb@y experience tells me that whole outfits use to go for overall better prices. Yeah you could find each one but also end paying more than 250 per item...

Not sure if it's clear but... well you get the idea :)

Thats a sweet little rig, but I promised my wife no cameras till after 12/25/04. Man I can't wait till "after" Christmas!

oscar, that meter is not worth $250!
i can find it for less on other sites.
good price for the lens and the body can be had for around 300 bucks.
it was a pretty good deal, i think.

Nope, I was talking about the first one, P + 50/1.2 only. Usually each one of these items go for more than US$250 each.

That one with the meter oth, it went for a nice price! Is wa119usa here ?

WOW!! Oh....that is so nice.....so very nice......

Before you get too excited about that 50/0.95 combination, keep in mind a couple of things:

-- The lens only fits a Canon 7 or 7s; you can't use it on any other camera without a custom adaptation. (I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can grind down a screw-to-bayo adapter for light-duty use on an M-mount camera.)

-- It's so big that it cuts off about 1/3 of the view through the finder!

On the other hand, it comes into its own for high-risk snapshots, such as these I took at a café jazz concert I attended with my parents a couple of months ago:

I know, the second shot could be more tightly cropped, but I like the expanse of green on the left; this café is notorious for its wild decor, so that helps give it a sense of place.

I wish I could tell all you technical boffins the light level, but it was too dark to see the dial on my exposure meter! I just chose 1/15 because it was the lowest shutter speed I thought I could hand-hold; set the lens wide-open; and hoped for the best!

By the way, could someone refresh my memory on how to code image links so that the image appears within the body of the message, rather than requiring the reader to click a link?

hit post reply and after you type in your messege, go to attach file, hit browse and find your pic on your hard drive.
