I have a very nice Canon VT Deluxe that has a great finder. Great camera ! Everything works well except for a floppy trigger The trigger works, but folds back too easily. The bumps on the base of the trigger are worn.
So, I bought a Canon VT (not Deluxe) with a problem, but with a good winder. I tried yesterday to move the working parts to the VT Deluxe.
Unfortunately, the trigger mechanisms are different enough that nearly all of the parts are not interchangeable.
Also, when I reinstalled the working trigger back to the VT, it now takes two pumps to cock the shutter instead on one. So, something is out of synch.
I'll figure it out eventually, but does anyone know the trick to get the trigger to work with only one pump?

My VT did wind in one stroke of the trigger before I took it apart. Now, after reassembly, it almost does a full wind, but needs a second stroke to do the last little bit. I think that the winding post in the camera is a little out of synch with the socket of the trigger mechanism that turns it. I just need to play with that a while one of these days.
