Hello everyone, this is my first post though I've been visiting the forum close to 2 years now.
I have recently purchased my second Canon VT Deluxe and noticed that the VT Deluxe writing is actually in red. Does anyone know if it has any significance? This is the VTD model, without lock on the bottom.
Cheers

Think Different
This is kind of confusing because Canon made several variations of the Vt Deluxe camera. According to Peter Dechert, almost all of the the VTDs' used red paint to identify the model. Other varieties didn't. See Peter's Canon rangefinder book for more info.

Hi Jim, thanks for the information. The reason I asked was because I've never seen red lettering on the web and the other VTDZ I have is black.
To Brian, mine is the cloth curtain variant.
Thank you all.
