canonet 28 - loose take-up spool

Hi Everyone, I finally got the light seals, shutter and shutter button working on my Canonet 28. Now I am having a problem with the take up spool. I get the film loaded then get to about the 5th or 6th frame when the spool gives out and unwinds all the film. I can't advance the film becuase it gets kinked in the space between the spool and the sprocket. When I open the camera the spool spins backwards pretty freely.

:bang: Man just when I get this thing working to some degree it craps out on me.

BTW, Greyhoundman, thanks for helping me with the shutter button. The part worked like a charm!
