Canonet 28 question

Hi;

I downloaded a user's manual for my Canonet 28, but it doesn't say what the camera's shooting mode is when you switch from auto to the manual f-stops.

So when you select an f-stop, does the camera automatically choose the correct shutter speed, or is it a fixed shutter speed?

It becomes fixed at 1/30.
