so I win the bid on a flash that is listed as "Appears to be in good working condition however i havent tested it. SOLD AS IS"

now if it has grunge on the battery terminals I guess that would not be a biggie. HOWEVER I do expect all of the parts to be there....it is missing the battery hatch so it is hard to test since the batteries keep falliing out :bang:

the good news is I only spent $6.49 including shipping, better news he already left feedback so I can leave negative without retaliation, and better yet I bought it because my current one has a crack in the hot shoe fitting [like somebody tightened the screw too much] so I can use the door off the other one 😀

That's a real drag-I just sold one of my Canolites and it went for 3 times what you paid, but I was nice enough to include all the pieces. Maybe a piece of wire and and electrical tape? I used my canolite at a wedding last week and they sure do work nice. Maybe someone here has a dead one they may part with to ressurect yours.

actually I bid on it only because I could not let it go with an opening bid of 99 cents I have a several so it is not a real problem, overall it is in very clean condition and fires off just fine so I will make it my #1 and my #3 will be the one with a crack in the hot shoe block and no battery door

of course if anybody needs a working unit and has a dead one I will send it to them.....

So I shouldn't bid on a "perfect condition canolite" that will show up on the bay this week?

Roy

Roy,

You're missing the point. Some here just have to constatnly whine about eBay as if they are on some crusade.

That's why they use terms like" "evilbay" or "eboy" etc.

I have never really understood what these folks find difficult to understand about a "caveat emptor" sales exchange. website

But it goes on and on and on and....

well I am trying to give it away to an owner of a dead one with a good battery cover.

Wayne will donate a dead one so all we need is someone who wants a caonet D flash

humor son it is humor.... I call it evilbay not because of bad deals, but because I spent too much time and MONEY there.

Most of my "issues" have been self induced, like not reading the full description.

On the other hand I have found truely like new items at great prices more than I have had items arrive in worse shape than advertised 🙂
