hi all.
im new to the forums, and new to rangefinders as well.
so 1st off im having a bit of trouble trying to figure out why my meter isnt.
i just got it today and supposedly it has a new battery, i wouldnt know, but its been restored and look pristine.
some observations i can give:
when in auto (aperture?) and i set the shutter speed to 1/500 with iso 400 filmthe meter will adjust from f/16 when looking out my window down to f/1.9 when i look back into my room.
but when using the manual aperture settings, the meter doesnt adjust at all, i.e it doesnt follow what setting ive got it on.
am i missing something or is this simply how it works?
also, the 2 small circles within the meter at opposite ends, do they represent the limits of the meter? i.e underexposed when below f/1.9 and overexposed when beyond the f/16 circle?
other than that.
coming from a 30D its a huuuuuge jump, but of course im gonna stick to it and gimme a few days or weeks ill post my experiences and maybe some photos depending how my meter skills turn out 😉
thanks guys!
