Canonet QL17 GIII: Some sort of light leak?

I just replaced the seals on my Canonet with one of Jon Goodman's kits, and like all of his kits, it was top notch. From looking at the edges of the door, that tape is way too thin. I would take a photo of my seals, but I'm running a roll of film through it right now.

Good luck!

I got some of the foam pad at a craft store, and it's just too stiff for my liking. Hard to get it in the grooves correctly too. It will be Goodman kits from now on.

You made a good choice in getting Jon's light seal kit. Once you install the seals I doubt you will see any more leaks. One word though. Be sure you use the right thickness on the hinges. even with the right thickness the door may be a tad diffucult to stay closed, least mine was & my Canonet was done by the camera store I bought it from. Best way I found to close the door is to hold up the film advance knob, close the door & hold it shut. Lower the knob allowing the hooks to set in place. After several rolls of film the door should be broken in, seated & good to go. Reason I say this is because my back door popped open on me twice when I first got it.
