Well, the annoying Catcha screens disappeared after I downloaded an add-on 'privacy pass' to Firefox. Either that did the trick, or RFF fixed the problem.

I'd wonder if the problem has much to do with the RFF web site at all, or it rather has something to do with your browser and its various add-ons - that is you have gotten something installed that you really wouldn't want.
I have not seen any captcha screens at all with RFF for years - but of course that doesn't say that much. I usually use Firefox on Linux or Windows 10.
