But that is not how evolution works. One organism survives, just enough to breed, even once. And so on. That is enough. Survival of the adequate. There is no fitness test, only the survival adequacy test.

Darwin’s comments and terms have been broadly misused, and when he wrote it, the genetic mechanisms of evolution were not really understood at all, and epigenetics were not even contemplated.

I have the Moscou book too. It is from the 1950´s. There is also a book by Cartier-Bresson about the Sovjet Union from the 1970´s, I have that one too. In that book are many pictures taken with the Noctilux 50mm f1.2. For lovers of that lens the book is a must.

Frankly, it's appalling that some believe that HCB image to be an AI generated fake, even when faced with the original black and white image. Daft, is what it is. Daft.
