WARNING: in this message I am referring to a disturbing image.

I just keep looking and looking at this picture (scroll down a bit) of what looks like a car crash site, with an unconscious or dead woman. Is there anyone here who speaks Polish, who can tell me something about the context of this picture? Is it staged or not?

i dont think thats fake there was a article about the photographer awhile ago ill have to look for it and his name

The photo with the woman about to be covered is by a well-known Mexican newspaper photographer whose name escapes me now--the"Mexican Weegee" in effect, and it is not staged. The picture is not shocking in the grisly sense but the image is powerful. The woman, a Mexican actress, was a pedestrian who died in Mexico City. I don't know Polish but I recognize the image. Who could forget it?

I've seen worse & not in photos.

So have I - I worked in law enforcement. Doesn't mean I enjoy blindly clicking on links like that without a bit more warning. Like those 'abortion' posters people feel compelled to parade around with of dead fetuses. Whether I agree with their argument or not, I'd prefer not having those shoved in my face.

i was not advocating it or anything...

i was just answering polleke's post....

im sorry i didnt mean to offend anyone by posting the second link either...

but as for seeing a loved one shot before i have seen it....

thats kinds disturbing, though not as sick as the John Wayne Gacy you tube vid at the bottom of that same page, arghhhhh!

I'm sorry to hear it, truly. What I meant was, you probably would not be too happy if the resulting scene was placed online and linked to as a 'gore' photograph for 'gore hounds' to ogle over. I know there are such people - I don't understand them.

In that case, I won't look; thanks for the heads up. I take it it doesn't fall under the "Neat Photo stuff" spirit of the category?

Well, as others have said - it's not the bloodiest gore photography I've ever seen. But I was expecting a 'car crash' like a CAR that had CRASHED and not the resulting carnage (pardon the pun). Not *horribly* gruesome but somewhat outre. I did not care for it - less for the manner in which it was presented.
