Yay! Cameras! 🙈🙉🙊┌( ಠ_ಠ)┘ [◉"]
Thank you for this. I have never heard of this photographer and I live and grew up in the Boston area.
Very interesting interview with thoughts on process, legacy, plans, and donation of his work and possessions (estate); his PhD. dissertation of Aaron Siskind and more.

Most welcome, glad you enjoyed the work and Carl's bio. I met Carl in Boston in 1959 when I was 18. We participated in a few group exhibitions in the 1960's, I believe at De Cordova Museum in your area was one. If you look at Carl's early work, you can see where he was headed with his abstract vision. This should be a wonderful exhibition at Eastman. Carl and I share a love of abstraction.

I recently received the catalogue accompanying Carl's retrospective exhibition at Eastman Museum. It is 74 pages and includes excellent reproductions of his work with informative text. Available at Amazon and also at the museum store if you are able to visit. Hope to hear any feedback from those fortunate to view in person.
