Carl Zeiss 100mm f2.8 planar info required

Guys the Carl Zeiss 100mm f2.8 planar was used on Linhof and Graflex 6x9 cameras. Serial numbers seem to range from ~2M up to 5M. The compur shutter changed on latter lens to an black face dial. My questions: where there any improvement to the optical design over the lens life, and did the lens receive improved coatings latter in its life. Or is a lens with an earlier serial number the same as late serial number lenses?
 
I can't help you, but I suspect someone at Large Format Photography Forum like Bob Solomon (expert in all things Linhof) would be able to tell you more about the 100/2.8. There is not much interest on this board in these lenses, for some reason! There is a lot more info floating around about the 135/3.5 because it is so legendary and covers 4x5...
