Carl Zeiss 16mm 2.8 on Olympus E-PL1

I just had to try out this combo. Recently, I bought at RFF a Zeiss 16/2.8 fisheye lens (for the Rollei QBM system). I do not like fisheye lenses. With a M 4/3 camera, I get a 32mm view that is not distorted too much (so to speak). Here is my first set of images with this lens.I used LR5to transform DNG to JPG files, but I did not add contrast or do anything else.

I followed your link, excellent shots but the picture of the camera has me thinking it might be a bit cumbersome. How was it to shoot?

It was as easy to use it as with a small snapshot camera. Everything is in focus, and I hold the camera-lens by the lens. It was a $200 purchase for a high quality Zeiss lens. I compose through the view at the back of the camera. The lens feels solid like a rock, with easy changes in the aperture and hardly and focus change.

When I see dense fog in the morning, I may stop here for 30 minutes or less before I drive to work. It is not far off my daily drive.

I often stop at this coffee shop for some coffee in the morning.

I took some photos at the beach today. The blues came out strongly even though no filters were used.

Is that still the 16mm, Raid? Looks very good... Seems the skies are darker when the light metering "sees" a lot of white sand!

Yes, Doug, this is the 16mm fisheye lens with m 4/3. The AE is most likely affected greatly by white sand and strong sunlight and clear sky. If I slightly tilt the camera/lens, the fisheye effect shows clearly.

Should sat also that the colours in the m43 12mp sensor are very nice.

This is true. I set my m 4/3 to "natural colors".
