I understand that this is a Leica screw-mount lens, quite rare. This one would not be adaptable to an SLR, unable to focus to infinity. Much more common is the SLR M42 (Pentax/Pentacon) screw-mount 58mm f/2 Biotar, which would be simple to adapt with an easily obtained adapter.
I see! So Sony is the winner. It wouldn't mount on a Canon or Nikon. Sony a7s or any full frame Sony "E" mount I guess.
What kind of adapter do I need for the Sony full frame cameras?
I need a lens which has a M42 mount for Sont E mount, I guess, right?

Could you please provide some pictures of your lens in question?
As far as I know, very VERY few *prototypes* of the pre-war version of this lens were made.
But since you write *50mm* and not *5cm*, it's apparently a post-war lens.
In other words: The Biotar *50mm* lenses that were on the market (and likely chiefly exported to Western countries, I suppose) are in fact *movie* lenses, and not really that rare. But some specimens were modified: having a still camera mount, and some even a rangefinder coupling (Leica Thread Mount).
Whether they're at all usable on a full frame camera, that is another question.
