Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar

That is pretty, and the earliest "T" lens that I've seen.

I have a 270xxxx "T" coated 5cm F2, converted it to LTM using a J-8 mount.

I love the color and rendition from it.

and the glass is perfect wich is totally surprising if you think that it came on this well used contax... german family heritage said the seller... 100€ for the lot

Hi all
After reading many information, I have better idea to identify the genuine LTM sonnar. How about for Contax RF mount?

Thanks.

I will try to get some close-ups of the Contax lens mount. The chrome is brighter, and the edges are slightly different from the ontax mount Jupiter-3. There is a difference, easier to identify when the two are side-by-side.

That one looks good to me. The Russian mounts are more grey-tones, and more rounded. This one is a pre-war lens, looks good.

All of the Russian J-3 and ZK lenses stop down to F22, this one goes to F11.

I checked an Ebay auction for a forum member- A Zeiss Sonnar in a NON-Focussing 39mm thread mount.

So take a good and careful look at the lens, and description. Feel free to PM here, or at ziforums.com if you need a second look.

about the last contax mount sonnar ... what is strange is that it is coated... but the picture doesn't show the T... it could be post war coating on a prewar lens... or an early T lens...
