I got a Nikon S3 2000 just to get the Millenium 50/1.4 Nikkor. I use an Amedeo adapter to use this my lens on an M camera.

That's a lovely combo.
I was able to find the Millennium lens alone but did have to send it out for a cleaning as there was light haze. Fortunately it came off easily without any damage to the coating.

My combo set is still like new. I rarely use the lens and I have never used the camera.

What is the current market value of the lens if you paid %400 for the repair?
It's not cheap but at least it still can be done. Like what many said here, this lens is so rare there's hardly any copy out there for sales. I'm just glad Cosina still got the parts or expertise to fix it. Can't wait to receive mine. Expected time frame is 5 weeks.

Use the body already! or you've meant for it to be a collection. The lens is sharp and contrasty. If you're using Gen 1 of the Amadeo adapter, then focusing it takes a bit of adjustment since it goes the other direction when you focus. Gen 2 corrects that but focus throw is still rather long. I love it for slow street photography.

Btw, the rear element on mine developed some kind of condensation over the years. Only realised it when I shot wide open at infinity and noticed glow. Was hoping to find a replacement but is almost impossible to find one now. Contacted Zeiss Singapore agent and happy to report, they are able to send mine back to Cosina for repair. Estimated wait time is about 5 weeks or so. Cost me around $500 USD to replace the rear element and recalibrate the lens.
The other lens I have in S-mount is the Millennium Nikkor 50 f1.4. Both lenses are currently on gen 2 version of Amadeo adapter. Can't wait to have this lens reunite back with its Nikkor brother.
Here's a photo of the condensation.

Good to hear that Zeiss can still service this rare lens. When I knocked an element loose in an accident 7 years ago, I was able to get it fixed for a very reasonable $158 (lens went to Zeiss USA, who then forwarded it to Japan). I've managed to bang up the original hood, too, though I expect a replacement is at least as difficult as to find as a replacement lens. Fortunately, the bayonet mount for the 50/1.5 Sonnar S-mount's hood is the same as some other CV & ZM lenses & generic (albeit oversized for the Sonnar) replacements are plentiful.

Hey Tim. With much patience! They occasionally pop up for sale here. Otherwise, maybe a trip to Ginza…

This has gotta be one of the more elusive lenses out there.

Using it with a Nikon to M Amedeo adapter and RF calibration is spot on.
Hoping to use it on my S2 soon !

I found one of these in Japan for $2000 USD. Seems very high. Comes with the original hood, lens cap, box. Mint. Hmm …
