An 88" SIII, good to see them still in use. Mine is a bit worse for wear at the moment. See if I can put her back on the road this summer.

I see what looks very similar to fishing rod holders I saw on most "bakkies" in coastal Namibia. The rods were one piece and up to 20ft long. They bent them over the cabin and fastened the lines to the tow hook.

Here's an old scan. IIRC this was a 1964 Mazda R360, it was presented for the first time following a very long extremely detailed restoration. There are only about a half dozen of these cars in North America. It was the first automobile Mazda produced and is powered by an air cooled V-twin in the rear.

The tiny Mazda looks pretty nifty! Snapped at a gathering of micro-cars, it appears. Brings to mind one my Dad had around 1960, an NSU Sport Prinz, with a rear-mounted air-cooled inline twin.

And now I have my own little one, a smart with inline three in the rear...

The form, the chrome, and the lighting on the curvature of the grill on this one is delicious. I remember sitting for a while making sure that DOF was just what I wanted. It's one of my favorite car shots I've done, it's def my fav from the day. Ughh, bad memories trickle in.

Yes it was at a show I think in 2006. The local Honda club however stole the show by bringing a dozen or so vintage Honda 600s to the meeting:

Clearly demonstrated is how much road space could be saved if everybody drove a little economy car, vs. a land yacht SUV. 😀

I thought I had a photo of a sport prinz, but I guess I never scanned it. My grandfather worked for NSU in the 1950s though, so I have a family connection to those cars. 🙂
 
I've been sitting on these the past two weeks and past four hours. Pick your poison. Just experimenting with different lighting and technique.
