Beautiful cars.. but the starting point... sometimes...

A recent commission into the shop....1954 Triumph TR2, which will someday look much like the examples in this great post. This is an example of where many of these show cars came from, as well as an example of what many of the cars shown here will deteriorate to....

This car likely sat in a shed or a field for a couple of decades or more. It's beginning the process of restoration. The big fellow in the plaid jacket practices the art of removing rusty panels and forming and welding in new steel...

Originally hand assembled by the Standard Triumph Car Company in England in 1954. Thousands of miles of fun before reaching this state. The object is to bring this car back to it's original glory.

Kuzano - I still remember every rusty bolt, stuck SU piston, bad Laycock de Normanville hydraulic overdrive, and broken dzus fastener. Those are cars I really miss. Good luck!

Taken in about 1980 when I was 14. East end Toronto in the dirty winter, probably February or March. I loved these cars back then.
