Cats, photography and the internet:

1. I agree with Jack Conrad about cats and bokeh.

2. Think what might be in place of all those cat photos online: the photogrpahers’ meals?

3. With aid of such a marvellous photographic subject to practice with those photographers’ other photographs are so much better.

4. What bad s—t would they have been up to if they won’t doing all of that?

We've had cats but I wasn't all that close to any of them until this one...Max...
We got him at 8 weeks old from the pound...his sister is the cat in my avatar...
He was 15 years old when we lost him to Cancer this year...I miss him daily...
This is one of the last pictures of him...I find it interesting the two items behind him...he loved the step ladder and hated the vacuum...
Picture taken post surgery...he never healed and the tumor came back...

My dad and Precious. Precious is one of my parents' two cats. She loves my dad and sits with him a lot. They just got a 6 month old Great Pyrenees dog, and Precious is PISSED. I was petting the dog when I took this picture, which is why she's staring at me.

The dog is really sweet and the other cat likes her, but everytime she gets near Precious, the cat puffs her tail and hisses. Lately, she's been ambush attacking the dog!

Both cats. Precious is still pissed. I shot both these photos a couple days ago.

Our Calico has a similar attitude Chris. She most definitely can hold a grudge.

Sorry, the out of focus blur was unintentional.

I too have noticed that cats never forget. If you do something they dislike - they remember and it takes forever to regain their trust. I have developed a tentative hypothesis that they are little elephants in disguise. Those tails - trunks!

My grandpa's cat, Molly, a dilute Tortoiseshell, was the queen of grudges.

She loved me, and I had wanted to take her home when she was a kitten, but my mom wouldn't let me have her because she was so mean (to everyone but me). I was still in high school when Molly was born; she lived almost 20 years!

Grandpa had a large white dog and another cat; a black one with white paws named Mittens. Molly hated the dog and ESPECIALLY hated Mittens. My grandparents were allowed to be nice to the other cat and the dog, but I was not.

One time, Grandpa and I went out to eat together and bright back meat for the animals. I gave some to Molly, and while she had her back to me eating, I slipped a big piece of steak to the dog. Just then, Molly turned around and saw it, and she was PISSED. For the next few days, she refused to have anything to do with me.

Another time, Mittens ran past Molly and jumped in my lap and curled up to sleep. Molly sat in front of me on the ground with her back to me and refused to even look at me. I got up and moved to the other side of the room, and the cat turned around again to keep her back to me. She did that every time I visited for the next SIX WEEKS before she forgave me for letting that other cat on my lap!

HAHA wow the bokeh and cats joke is on point!

Leica CL, Voigtlander 35 Color Skopar, Tri X.

I have always enjoyed cats but never actually had one myself. My sister on the other hand is probably a crazy cat lady in the making. This is her cat Feta. I'm debating whether or not to show her that link, the fact that the cats may be dead (I think its pretty obvious that they are indeed dead) will most likely take away from the humor.
