I have a Century Graphic I will be using as a wide angle camera - Super Angulon 47 and 65 lenses.
Apart from the Graflex RH8, 10 etc. what other roll film holders fit (and register correctly) with the Century Graphic 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 (6x9) please?
Cheers

Mamiya RB67 holders work fine, are better made than the Graflex, and are quite cheap these days, but only come in 6x7. You need to clip a couple of ears (which are there to interlock with the Mamiya body, but the Graflex cameras don't have the slots they fit into) off the darkslide so it will go in all the way, that's all. Otherwise it works exactly like the Graflex version.
In Graflex holders, buy the ones with lever wind, not knob, and make sure the shell is the right shell. The lever wind shell has a long, thin roller bearing to the left and right of the film opening, resulting in better film flatness than the knob wind ones. This will be more important for WA lenses than longer ones.

I use a Horseman (Calumet) 6x9 holder with the Graflok adapter on my Brooks Veriwide. They're very well made and actually 6x9.

Forgot Toyo and Wista also have / had 6x9 graflok backs for 2x3. I had a Toyo for 4x5 and they're very well made.

It is also possible to cut/mill clearance in the Graphic's back to clear the tabs on the dark slide.

I use Horseman 6X9 backs on my miniature Crown but you have to modify the Crown slightly for them to work.

besk, what excatly has to be modified for the horseman 6x9 backs to work?
Are all Horseman backs suitable both the older as well as the newer types?

It appears there are two variations of the horseman backs. One is a regular back much like the Graphic and the other has two sets of electrical contacts. It appears that the contacts signal certain models of Horseman cameras to know if the film is wound and whether the slide is out. I have the one with the contacts. The Graflok back I have for my frisked is exactly like your camera. To make the back seat properly in the Graflok adapter I had to remove the electrical contacts and file part of the piece that holds two contacts.
It just took a few minutes and now it works perfectly. I would guess the other back fits without and modification.

So, it registers OK then? I was concerned that the two hooks that hold the spring arms on the GG bacl may need to be removed.
BTW I just went to your images. A fine body of work. Have you ever been featured in View Camera magazine?
