Changing Camera leather covering II

I ordered a green replacement leather from Camera Leather (Morgan Sparks) last week for one of my M4's. I received the package yesterday (about a 4 day delivery time from US to Germany!). In the meantime I cleaned of the original Vulcanite coating of my M4 according to the instruction on the the camera leather website, which was tedious, but following the instructions went remarkably well. Just finished fitting the new leather on my M4, the fit was perfect, no rough edges, looks like a professional job. I am really pleased about Camera Leather, it's service, delivery speed and the on site instructions. Being an absolute Non-Tech sort of person with two left hands the end result was fantastic, the product (the replacement leather) was cut remarkably well and had a first perfect fit. I am very, very pleased.....

I didn't think of taking any pictures, for the whole thing was quite exciting and I didn't know if it would work out well ... It did... The next project will be my M6TTL which has seen quite some wear and tear, I will document the proces metaculoulsly from start to finish and post the link here. Camera Leather has quite a nice collection of replacement leather, and for thos wanting to individualize their cameras this is a very pleasing first step.

Thanks to Morgan Sparks for the overall service thing, ... alot of camera manufacturers could learn form this seemingly simple operation !

By the way, my M4 looks great ---

Post pictures of your M4!

I'm glad you received good service, it sounds like CameraLeather has improved since the last time I ordered from them. It took me four weeks to receive my kit, and I received no emails or contact of any kind confirming my order or giving me a tracking number. I was also a bit disappointed as the leather had some rough edges.

Anyways, I might consider ordering from them again in the future.

I must say that I read some of the "negative" stuff here about camera leather, but then again you read quite some negative stuff here period.
They serviced me very well and having said that most manufacturers could take an example ...

The leather itself ... fits like a sock, the assortement is great ...

I have read somewhere (likely photo.net) that Morgan Sparks got swamped with orders after an article in a major photography magazine. Might account for some unresponsiveness from his side, remember he is a one man business.

I covered my M6 in black lizard skin I ordered from Morgan. Very good quality kit, with the online guide everbody should be able to do a professional looking job. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Morgan again, despite a lot of negative publicity.
