Since Costco no longer does film processing. Where can I get cheap processing, & scans? Mail order is fine. Took two rolls of 36exp to Walgreens, $14 bucks a roll with prints. I do my own B&W, and at these prices I will be shooting color in digital.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the CVS near me still does develop only for $1.50ish.

Where are all these machines going when the big chains get rid of them? Kind of sad if they're going into land fills.

I get mine done at Sam's Club in Chicago. <$2/roll. I send my color 120 out with Walmart since they still send those negatives back. Around $1.50 per roll with 4" prints.

My Costco in Danville, CA is still processing C-41 and I scan my negatives. When I get prints which is almost twice a week and ask how the photo department is doing. They say that prints of all types are down. I guess the iPhone is killing their business. And nobody will get hard copies soon.

Once when I was going away I used their mailing service. Its quality was very inferior to the Danville, CA Costco in house service. I guess we will just have to find the best mail order processor.

I really like the 'true Black and White paper' that Mpix uses. I mean really like it, but for some reason I have gotten some out of focus prints from them. Although they have been better recently. I immediately send the same file to Costco that has been out of focus from Mpix and the Costco one is right on. I hope they have fixed their problems.

In the main all my 35mm and 120 I process myself, works out at less than £1 per film.

If you have the equipment for B&W then you can do colour easily and better quality than most minilabs (unless you need prints). The only stuff I send out is LF and E6, everything else is just done at home with a Tetenal kit

Shoot digital for cheap. Since you are in Seattle take film to Panda photo lab. Thank the gods they are still around.
I think develop is around $5-7 per roll.
They are on Warren on lower Queen Anne.

Many of you guys are very lucky.

My local walmart and cvs's don't process film but I haven't searched very hard to be honest. My local costco does film for less than $2/roll, but I don't have a membership.

I just pay $4 C41 at the moment, so that isn't such a big deal because I don't shoot it at high volumes...E6 is a different story...I can't find an affordable/reliable lab.

My CVS stores are throwing in the towel one by one. They were cheap, and the closest one was excellent. Local Walgreens are expen$ive and I have not been happy with their work. In a recent similar thread, there was strong support for running C-41 at home!

Get a C-41 kit and the needed equipment, You have the quality and low price. I suggest the Maco Compard C-41 kit is the best, all components in separate concentrate bottles. lasts forever and you can repleinsh the expensive one-bleach so it lives indefinitely.

I take my C41 to Walgreens (not WalMart ... yuck) when I don't want to soup it muself (which is becoming more and more often.) At my store, I know the photo people, and they always handle my film well. Iget it developed and rolled up - put into the plastic canister for transport back home where I cut it and put it into sleeves. Costs a little over $4 a roll, so it's not exactly cheap.
