Hello, just want to share my little DIY project: a cheap Ikea heated tray;
in my room I can never reach 20° C. in winter, so my printing is not consistent. When I go to Ikea I always keep an eye to hardware that may be useful for our hobby, and I discovered the TROFAST.
A plastic tray intended to be a toy tray.
You need two of them.
Than look for a small plastic aquarium heater (50w, plastic tube, submersible and temp. regulated): 20/30,00 euros
Done.
Place the heater in the first tray, add water just to keep the heater submerged, set the heater on 24/25° add the second trofast, there are small protuberances in the corner that keep a small space between the trays (the space with the water and the heater).
That's it.
In around an hour the temp is right.
The room was around 16° but the tray was constant 20,5° C throughout all the printing session.
Ikea sells also a little timer for cooking. Very useful.

That's a neat solution. I used the same principle with deep storage boxes for growing some exotic plants in.
As an "emergency" work-round for the trays in my cold darkroom, I placed the trays on an electric blanket which was doubled up and sealed inside a couple of tough plastic bin liners, with a little insulation underneath. I wouldn't think that the temp was ultra stable, but it solved the problem.
