For those of you in the Toronto and other parts on Ontario, I wish to pass on my recent experience with very low priced film. The product in question is sold in all DOLLARAMA stores for $1.00 per roll of 24 in 100 and 200 ASA.

The brand name is LICON and it's made in China.

I just had a couple of rolls processed and the results were quite good. You can also pick up Alkaline batteries at 6 for a Buck.

At these prices, all I can say is "Try it - you'l Licon it" 😀 😀

Regards to all,

Bill K.

Same here -- where is Dollarama?

A related question: are there any inexpensive places to have C-41 film developed in the Toronto downtown core? All the places I've tried range from $6-7/roll for development only.

$2 per roll, and $5 to have 3 or 4 scanned to one CD

I'm nervous that disclosing this will kill the goose. Send me a PM if you want to know which grocery store near Bathurst and Lawrence charges $2 per 24 or 36-exposure roll to develop only on their Agfa machine. I save up 3 or 4 rolls, have them developed only, and for an additional $5 they scan the lot to a CD.

Hi iggers & Gene,

The nearest DOLLARAMA to me is at Cloverdale Mall, (427 & Dundas area). We just got our new Yellow pages and I am sure they will list all locations. I believe there are a good number of them in the GTA.

If your are in Cottage country, there is a nice big one in Bracebridge.

As for processing, COSTCO charges about $7.50 for a roll of 24 with a CD included .

At these prices I get a lot of shots of my Grandsons. Now if I could only figure out how to post them 😕 I could do a lot of bragging.

Regards to all,

Bill K.

Can't beat $1.00/roll (who could?) but for the benefit of those not on Freestyle's mailing list -

Arista -100, 36 X (which is actually Ilford 100) can be had for $2.59 / roll.

Cheers

I'm out here in Scarberia, and one pro shop actually only charges $1.50 for dev only. I know that Photolab (Loblaws) does have a dev only pricing as well, but since I usually do that multi-day $3.99 w/ prints, I haven't asked.
