Last year I tried all the cheapo film I can get on of ISO 100 and 400, at the end I settle with Kentmere 100 + D76 for my single primary film type.
The Kentmere 100 can be push to 800 in D76 with very nice result, and its ability to stay *really* flat is a big plus if you scan film.
p/s: I have a bottle of D76 stock that is kept in the dark a year and a half ago, it surprise me when I use it and it still works!
