I got a plastic and metal slip on A36 hood from alex-photo. Here's the metal version....

Just thought that I'd mention that this is what I have done as well. There is one of these on the way from Alex-Photo to me.

Thanks to all for the suggestions,

William

I decided I needed to get something better than the cardstock hoods I've been using on my I-50 and 90 Elmar. So I bought a SOOGZ--an adaptor to use 39mm screw thread filters/hoods on a36 sized lenses--from Ritz Collectible Cameras and I have two 39mm hoods coming from Heavystar(on the bay). One hood for the 90 and one for the 50.
The one minor downside will be adjusting the aperture on the Industar if I'm using a filter. I think then I'll be in "aperture priority" mode. This is well balanced by the fact that I can now use the B+W and Heliopan filters I have on these two lenses instead of the FSU slip-on filters.
Not the cheapest solution( aproximately $75 for the SOOGZ and both hoods) but definitely better than my poorly made homemade hoods and I can use a fairly common filter size.
Once I get this "new" stuff, I'll put up a before and after picture.
