I just got that feeling of being so excited I felt a little sick!
Made in USA, the few dev times I compared were the same...
Could this be it!?

I could afford to use Tri-X ALL the time!
Anyone heard?

I'll look forward to your results. I just got 500 feet of EDU Ultra from them, when that's done I might check this out.
Edit: I thought TMY was TMAX?

No worries, itf.
Perhaps I can load you up a few rolls and swap for some of that EDU Ultra.

Yeah there was a thread about this on APUG too. I am very hopeful... if it turns out to be tri-x I'll stock up on 36exp rolls.

I'd be into that.

I imagine trying some in diafine may be a way of seeing if it is Tri-X, possibly. If it doesn't make 1600ish it won't be Tri-X.

Here is the German made Arista 400. I though it was good. There was no plastic hub in the center of the roll, so I ended up scratching my loaded film. I figure I'll hold the loader on its side to fix that problem.
Yeah, that was Agfa APX apparently. I liked APX, except that it seemed to get water marks more easily than most, maybe that was just chance though.

Well, it looks like I'm having this conversation with myself, but I'm sick so its olympics or this and I'm not a sports person. If anyone else is interested, someone on flickr has tried this film and it looks good. Hits 1600 in diafine.

I checked out those Flickr pics. It sure looks like Tri-X. Even if it's not, it looks good, pushes to 1600 nicely in Diafine, and it's $30 for 100' . Thanks for posting this. I'm will order some soon!

God - this stuff is only $1.99 for 36 exposures... Doesn't even pay to bulk load at that price. I'm ordering me some now...

Out of Stock (cartridges) already... 36 and 24 frames. Expected delivery August 15.

They may not have even taken delivery of any cartridges yet, though I wouldn't be surprised if it was out of stock already.

Nah they haven't sold any cartridges yet, august 15 was the availability date. I think I will order myself some at that price.

Right behind you... Save some for me. Can't beat that price, especially if it's Tri-X. I impulse purchased 2 rolls of Tri-X at the local CVS a few weeks ago for around $12.

I met a man once...
this presumably re-packaged tri-x that freestyle managed to get a hold of is beautifully priced. I'm gonna order up a 100' roll and put those film cassettes to use.

Hi guys. Those are my test shots up on flickr. I'm glad they're helpful. I'm sure we'll see lots of samples soon. The edge codes on the negatives simply say "ARISTA PREMIUM 400", but if it's not Tri-X then it sure acts a lot like it.
Based on this first roll I'm pretty pleased with this film. I loaded up two more rolls the next day and will probably process them this weekend.
