Hello.

Where is the cheapest place I can get colour neg films developed, I don't need prints, just the negs. I've been hunting but not found anything less than £4 a roll. At the rate I shoot that'll buy me an R-D1 pretty quick! Does anyone know of any bulk processing places that do it cheaper, again, no need for prints.

Cheers.

A&M Imaging in Edinburgh charge £3.00 +VAT for a 36exp 35mm process only. Not sure how convenient that would be for you though.

This is their homepage.

My local mini lab in Kingsbridge charges only £3 and £6 for dev and scan. But they don't do mail order. Does a good job too but not a lot of use to you.
Suggest you find a mini lab that uses fuji chemistry and an owner that cares about monitoring chemistry and consistency. I mean the process is the same wherever you go. Its the staff that make the difference.

p.s. One of my local pro labs is more expensive and the quality is crap. They are more interested in selling than offering a good service.

Try the vault imaging. They're based in Brighton. I used to go there a lot cos it's quite cheap for a pro service. Process E6, BW and C41. I'm not sure if they'd post thou. Worth a try!

The Vault in Brighton provide a good (and as you say, cheap pro service) but they currently charge £4.00 for processing (exclusive of VAT). They're happy to post as well (at cost).

These guys will do it for £3.50 with free post & packing:

And these guys will do it for £2.00:

Finally, these chaps have always provided me with a good quality serivce:

They charge £3.50

Hope this helps,

John

No idea, you'll have to give them a call. I've only ever done developing there, and scan myself, or more accurately, I put them in a box and don't get round to it.
