Happy Snapper
Doesn't seem like that long ago that people were paying more than a grand to buy one of these....
It's a refurb direct from Fujifilm, I just ordered one after a mate got his - it's like new and comes with a full 1 year warranty.
http://shop.fujifilm.co.uk/refurbished-digital-cameras/professional
Use the code P258BTCC467 for 10% off which brings the price down to £494.98!
Also, this is my first GAS attack for 2 years - I feel dirty

True; I paid £1,000 for mine 18 months ago. But then I've had a lot of pleasure for that money. And those 10,000 (and still counting) exposure would have cost how much with film? Not that I would ever have taken so many with film of course.
have fun

Seems the X10 refurbished is going for £280 too.
If 10% can come off this as well, seems £252 is well below 'second hand' prices - another bargain!

Just wanted to thank Kully for the link to the refurbed X100's, it was perfect timing for me as I'd started looking at eBay for one that would probably cost more and without the gaurantee.
Loving the camera, far too many buttons, but actually once you get the hang of them not as bad as all that.
The image character is unlike any other digital I've used, and has dare I say it, a filmic quality and colours I actually like. The OVF is brilliant and the camera still manages to be small and light. All in all a happy bunny...Cheers.

I have just written asking them why. It is unfortunately more and more common in the UK. Will update if they care to answer.

For those of us not lucky enough to benefit from this offer, there is an alternative. The black edition for 6.995,- DKK. Approximately €938. This is brand new.
The shop is arguably the best stocked camera shop in Copenhagen, Denmark. No affiliation other than as a customer in my previous life.

I dislike everything about my x100. Ergonomics suck. Buttons all over the back that you can't help but push and change settings that take hours to figure out how to undo. Completely and utterly incompletely thought through camera.
Makes a great paperweight while my m8 keeps on getting the work done.

Yay, good luck with the camera, what a bargain.
I paid £650 - but I'm happy you guys got a great deal on this classic camera. 'Cos I got to take mine to Japan and I would have blown a huge sum on transparencies if I had held off.
Teuthida, yes, it is indeed a quirky camera. I love it nearly as much as my Hexar AF.

In other words, you never took the time to learn the camera. Why you would brag about that is an interesting question. Why you still have a camera that you dislike even as it depreciates (as all digital ameras do) is another interesting question.
Meanwhile I've just reviewed 25,000 of my archived photos, the majority taken with an M6, and discovered that a surprisingly large fraction of the 200 selects (all of which I've now had printed as work prints) were taken with the X-Pro1. A disproportionately large fraction, in fact.
I happily continue to use both cameras, often side by side. And I know several considerably better photographers than myself who are using the X-Pro1 or X-100 as their main professional tools under demanding conditions.
There is a world of difference between saying that a camera is bad, and saying that it's a bad fit for you.

Fast answer from Fujifilm UK
Fast answer from Fujifilm UK
Kudos to Fujifilm for answering fast and not dodging the bullet. Basically their answer does not make any sense
. They state, they are Fujifilm UK, and therefore only sell to their marketplace. However, they do not explain why they sell to Ireland then, which certainly is not UK.
