good buy on the lens, and good job cleaning it. the tabbed aluminum j-8 has a very canon 50/1.8-ish look, but i reckon is much lighter in weight. my black j-8 from fedka apparently does not need a shim. i have been unable to detect any issues close or far on my bessa r, but it could be i am just not good enough to tell ...
