This one just ended on the auction site. Looks like someone got a real nice package of goodies here for a decent price ?

decent price? 500 were decent. But a good package, complete, all parts of fitting vintage. If you like these close-up device things... brrr!
The two lenses would get at least $250 each if they were usable, the body would also get ~$250. But there is CONDENSATION in that lens. To me, that would be a red flag for further problems with this kit. The seller does not know much about cameras, from the statement that only coated lenses from the 60's and 70's could get fungus, but as this was from 1957 fungus would not attack the coating. With all that, either someone wanted those accessories really bad, or can fix anything easily.

Yes, red flag... Is the 1.2/50mm prone to fungus from what you have seen? I once had a black/chrome 1.8/50mm with "fogging" which turns out as unremovable damage of the 4th element (Seen many "fogged" 1.8/50mm in ebay)
Unlike my 2/35mm which when I bought it had fine spider-web type fungus in the very outer zones, hard even to detect at such a small lens, alarming me. Luckily this could be removed 100% by an repairman and the lens again is clear like a gemstone. So fungus came in different appearances, the bad-looking can be harmless, and vice versa. Not believe a sellers "it's just fogging of lubricants"...

Isn't that vented lens hood for the 50/1.2 a relatively rare item that can command at least $100 in private sale or the auction site ?

$100 or more for the vented hood, that is true. I don't think that this closed for a bad price, but not the best bargain to be had.

I've seen the 50/1.2 auto-ups listed for $65-100 or so, and there were two of them in this. If you want to get closer than 1m with Canon RF gear, though, the much cheaper 50/1.8 auto-up would be just as useful, since you probably don't want to be shooting at half a meter distance wide open at F1.2.
