Bloody Hell! These guys are charging a full SIX TIMES the prices charged for the same films in the USA. Six f--king times the price! How do these guys stay in business?? Even if no one in Australia had internet access that allowed them to know they're being screwed, I can't imagine anyone could afford or would pay (if they could afford) those prices. I bet this place doesn't REALLY sell photo gear. Its gotta be a front for drugs or prostitution; the website makes it look like they're selling something legit so the cops stay away, and it keeps real customers away too. Genius!

Can't help thinking there's an error in their pricing system.
If you look at the Fomapan films, they are all $14.95
There is a choice between 135 or 120 in the Fuji, and the price after the selected format equals the headline price.
For the Ilfords there is an addition - the price after the format PLUS another amount - usually (but not always) $14.95.
I think they have two columns in the price and for the Ilfords they have accidentally used both, resulting in roughly double the price.

Even $14.95 is almost 4 times the US price for Fomapan films.

Those prices are consistent with what I see in the last remaining (serious) camera shop in my town. And check their prices on Leica lenses too - $3795 for a 35 Summicron ASPH! $2595 for a 40 Summicron-M! Only $5950 for an M7 or MP!

Yes, but the Fomapan mules that smuggle it into Australia have to be paid in crack cocaine, and that is pretty expensive down here.
And at the moment AUD$14.95 is about USD$14.00, so a bargain, really.
:bang:
Now please stop torturing us. It's bad enough having to pay the prices without being told just how much we are being ripped off.

The "last serious camera shop" in my town hasn't sold film of any sort for more than 5 years. The last "serious" film (and digital) photo shop shut down last year. There went my source of BW400CN. I can still buy Kodak colour film from Big W (alongside Impossible Project Polaroid film!?!) At least the Kodak 400 is "only" $7 per roll in a three pack (and NO I DONT WANT TO KNOW HOW CHEAP IT IS IN THE USA.)

Always Trying
Thats what i see here in West Australia, last film i got here in a shop was about 3 years ago $9.95 for out of date HP5. The internet is your friend.
I would be prepared to pay maybe double if i can keep a shop keeper happy but not 4 to 6 times the money.

Probably the same this side of the Tassy. Got a load from B&H this week and wouldn't bother looking locally.

Looks mad. May be an error. VanBar in Melbourne has 35mm 36 rolls of Fomapan Classic 100 for $5.83. The illustration on their site shows a box of 24 exposures, but even if that is not wrong it is still way cheaper.
On the other hand, Fotoriesel has Tri X for $16.95 and VanBar for $9.13. I suspect that VanBar overall is cheaper regardless of errors.

Golly, that's awful. Still, if you'd stayed as part of the empire, you'd be in the EU with the rest of us poms and able to buy cheap stock from Poland or elsewhere
Seriously, though, couldn't a bunch of you get together and make up an order big enough to buy from the US or even Hong Kong? According to the Australian Government Customs site you get a tax free allowance of $1,000. That would buy a fair amount of film.

The three pack at Walmart is $8 here. That's $8 for the WHOLE pack, not per roll. You can go cry now

You should have seen the old canadian distributor for voigtlander. That site had front all over it. Then they were shut down for gun running. Apparently "prop guns"...

Keith has done just this with HP5 from Freestyle on a number of occasions.

There is a pizza restaurant in Fort Wayne, near the neighborhood where I grew up that has been in business for more than 30 years. This despite NEVER having customers. Even on saturday evenings, when every pizza place in the city is packed, this place sits EMPTY, but open! People I know who have eaten there say the pizza is disgusting. People in the neighborhood have speculated that the place was a front for something illegal as long as I can remember, even when I was a little kid, I heard these rumors!
