Checking an R-D1 Actuations

How do you check to see how many shutter actuations an R-D1 has had? Is there a menu for that?

Unfortunately, there is no way to check this. The EXIF information embedded in all JPG and ERF files do not provide it either. You can use the picture number as a clue, but you won't be able to tell if the camera already took 1234, 11234 or 91234 pictures...
