For those close to Chicago, I want to recommend the current show at the Art Institute. The theme is photo collection and it includes a larger, more diverse selection of contemporary photography than I've ever seen. Pretty much all the modern greats are represented.
In addition, the room next to it (not sure if it's part of the show) has an installation of over 100 Winogrand prints from his Women are Beautiful project. I'm not much of a Winogrand fan, but I really enjoyed seeing it.
The show runs through May 12. I plan to go back at least a couple more times.
