Chicago Photoshow yesterday

It was not well attended as I expected. I did find a nice 50 1.4 G for Nikon.

I found a really nice Panasonic G1, 14/55 lens, plus an extra battery for $445.

Also a Rollie TLR 2.8 Xenotar for $1050. Exact model unknown, dealer thought it was an E. Original focus screen clean and clear, but dim as I would expect.
Meter on the focus knob with a crack in the plastic.

Dealer phone numbers on request. I have no personel relationship with them. Just post what I saw.

The guy with the Rolleis was Bill Moritz. He had a fairly clean 2.8E2, a beat up 2.8F and a nice 2.8GX. These were the only TLRs worth mentioning in the whole show IMO.

I talked with Greg Metzcar for a while since he had a well brassed BP M2 w/matching Leicavit around his neck loaded with film. I believe a Nikkor 28 or 35 was mounted. Greg had a Canon 50/1.5, 35/1.8 on his table and just sold a 25/3.5 minutes before I arrived (damn!). IIRC, he had a BP M4 too - in fact I think there were two at the show. I almost bought a decently priced Nikon LTM 105/3.5 but ended up passing.

Two more interesting items to note:
Graflex combat graphic and a boxed Kodak Chevron at the same table. The Graflex finder was filtered dark RED (?)

I left with only a Weston clip-on dial thermometer 🙂

These were the only TLRs worth mentioning in the whole show IMO.

You must have somehow missed the Gowlandflex 4x5 TLR! Suprising, since it's the size of a car battery.. 😉

One of our own members (sp9107) had, as he usually does, a table of very nice Nikon RF gear, including a beautiful S-36 motor.

I picked up a nice black Rollei 35 S, a nearly-perfect Olympus Pen EE-S for my girlfriend, and a few other odds & ends. Wound up passing on a $75 Canon P..

No Igor Reznik this year, which was a drag. I'd gotten used to seeing his smiling face right when i walk in..

It was not Bill Moritz, I know him. In fact I spent 15 minutes conversing with his wife. Lovely lady by the way. The TLR was at other end of room, inside ring of tables on the corner.
