CL as backup?

I like my CL as a carry around camera due to its size and weight. The end hang and different handling of the controls makes it a poor choice to use along with an M body. I much prefer using multiple M bodies when I'm using various lenses on a shoot.

I currently am using the CL as a backup to my Yashica GSN.

Seriously, I haven't used the CL for a while, and since I'm getting a Canon P, I'll probably put the backup CL in the classifieds one of these days. So, will the P or the CL end up as the backup? Time will tell.

the p is a completely different beast.
very solid, heavier, bigger.
if you like the yashica i bet you'll prefer the p.

Hi,

I started using my CL as backup of my... well... I didn't stop using my CL since then so now I don't really remember which body it was suppose to backup... ;-)

The only limitation is that not all M-lenses can be used... other than that, it's a wonderful camera... as is... not just as backup...

Stefano.

 That's just so wrong.....

Yes it is. That wasn't really serious. I've had the CL for a few years, and the GSN was just put in service late last year. Now I've added a Canon P, so I'll probably relegate the GSN and the QL17 to life in a camera bag in the car, with the CL and the P being used for serious shooting. Although I have a few more tests I want to run with the GSN before rotating back to the CL.

Rokkor 28 white dots development?

Rokkor 28 white dots development?

and i'm thinking the rokkor 28 on the cle and the 40 on the cl, perfect 2 lens small, light combo and no lens changing required!

ok, now i need a deal on a good user cl...

I also want to add an 28mm. Considered Rokkor lens before, but dropped the idea as I learnt about the possibility of white dots development inside the lens. I've been considering VC 28mm/2.8. You guys have any idea?

there is no cv 28/1.8, they have a 1.9 and a 3.5.
both are very good lenses.
the 3.5 is tiny and sharp and fits perfectly on the cl/cle.

Oh! I meant VC 28/3.5. Thanks that you pointed it out.
BTW, do you think I need a separated viewfinder for CL, or just use the whole build-in finder for approximation?

The CL will be my main camera in an upcoming overseas trip due to the need to keep camera gear small in bulk. I will leva emy M3 and M6 behind. The CL allows accurate focusing of a 50mm/1.4 wide open.
