cold winters for one and add in arthritis and the case is a help.

and a happy side note...i just realized that i can take off the neck strap and add my wrist strap on the film advance side.
this, for me, is very sweet, as it's my preferred style of holding/shooting!

there is no grip, not sure they have a cl case with a grip. it's a pretty small area.

Luigi's handcrafted cases are a natural match for Leicas as they both have a stylish retro appeal from a time when function, longevity and quality were perhaps more appreciated.

I'm not sure this is a beauty contest.
I took an old Leica M case, cut off the top, and use the bottom on my M2.
It does two things for ME:
1. It does protect the body and I feel more comfortable swinging it around.
2. It give ME a better grip on the camera.
This is an individual decision, but, for me, it's NOT cosmetic.

leica never made a case for the cl, so this option was not available to me.
with the neck strap off and the wrist strap on, it was a pleasure to shoot with it today. it actually improved the handling for me, making the cl a much nicer fit in my hand.

Magus is right, Luigis cases are disgusting.
I am generously prepared to dispose of them free of charge, I would gladly dispose of a case for an M4-P, and one for an RD-1, please PM me if you want to get rid of them 😀 😀 😀
