Clarus

I got this old Clarus, and took it out to see if it worked. It does work. It's easy to use, and the pictures came out pretty reasonable.

I had never heard of this before your posting. It's a surprisingly clean design for the period, isn't it? Which lens(es) do you have for it?

I've also got a clarus. It took some cleaning to get it working properly, but it does work. Mine has the 2.8/50 Anastigmat lens.

I just have the one lens, a 50mm, although I understand there are others available. It's a screw mount, but with a different diameter than Leica.

I few years ago I would have bought one, but now after many sessions with my doctor (head doctor) I've eliminated GAS.

Funny, I had the same experience as John. The doctor's fees were so high, there was no money left for gear!

Nice results, especially in the B&W. I've thought of making a collection of USA made cameras, but other than that would have no use for one, or desire to get one. Got too many cameras already. Gee, I must be getting better, I actually said I wouldn't buy a camera! The anti-G.A.S. treatments must be working.
