Classic Konica Hexar AF alternative Flash

Hello

Can anyone recommend an alternative Flash for the Hexar AF. I've read that the Metz 34 CS-2 works but they are now discontinued.

Will the Metz Mecablitz 28 AF3M work?

The pin-out on the HexarAF hot shoe is similar to Nikon. The flash fire and flash ready contacts are in the same place and have the same polarity.

I've used a Metz (32Z-2) with Nikon adapter (SCA3401) on the HexarAF.

The vivtar 2800 is a little big, but a great cheap flash, that works great on the hexar.

I always used the Sunpak 1600A. I have an old Fuji film container cut down the middle and taped on for diffuser. This works really nicely with the Hexar (assuming you don't need a big flash).
