Or indeed, cameras that work at all.

If you want unsharp images, there are options like Lensbabies and Monochrom Subjecktiv. I've never quite understood why people would want light leaks as well.

Medium Format film options are probably seeing a spike as people realize the stunning images they can get without dropping mega bucks for the digital equivalent. I know the return on investment of something like a 6x9 negative from a Fuji 690 type is a steal.

I think the rise in Medium Format prices are a bit generalised.

I'm in the UK and seeing the same. Medium format equipment in particular seems to be going for quite a lot more than 12 months ago, partly due to the exchange rate post the Brexit vote. (...)

Thanks to brexit exchange and some strange periodical price drop, I was able to snatch a small stash of film very cheap from UK (Jersey) big online retailer.

Mamiya 6/7 and Hassies have caché, the Pentax 67 and its 105mm seem to have a surge of interest.

Yeah, I picked up a GW690III earlier in the year for about $250. The prices have definitely gone up since then.

I think Stephen is right on the money. Hasselblad prices have definitely firmed up over the last few years. If you've been shopping at KEH for long enough, you've only got to check their prices, to get proof of that. Assuming they have any Hasselblad stuff in stock, that is. When I checked just a few weeks ago at one point, they had no bodies available. I've seen the same for Rollei TLRs in the not too distant past, also. Stock comes in regularly, and then it goes out. Not only have prices risen but the demand is there, too. I'm kicking myself for not picking up a few more A12 backs, when they were selling for the price the less desirable A24 ones now fetch.

Also, I'll happily take as many "worthless" Contax bodies as anyone wants to give me.

I have bought black SP's at very reasonable prices, but that does not keep the camera from being potentially worth far more. Even if you pay $100 dollars you might be using a $10K camera.
