Anyone using the CLE as a compliment to another body? I've been researching them a bit and the .58X finder seems like it would be ideal for a wider lens, even with an accessory finder.
-Will a 24/2.8 Elmarit mount on the CLE?
-How is the finder compared to an M7 / MP finder? Much different?
-Anyone using the 40/1.4 CV lens on the CLE?

1. 24/2.8 Elmarit can mount on the CLE, but you need a external viewfinder and a little bit block the viewfinder as well.
2. compared to an M7 / MP finder, almost good with them.
3. I don't have it, use summicron C40 is a good choice if you don't mind f2 max.

One of our regulars just came into Looking Glass tonight w/ a CLE and a voigtlander 25mm (2nd version, RF coupled).
The VF looked 'close enough' for the 25 if you use the entire finder.

I used Leica 24mm plastic viewfinder on it, the view image wider than the entire finder around 5-8%, I think it may be show 25-26mm with the whole entire finder, that's great for a compact choice with a 25mm lens.

I did, and it works fine.
Only when you close focus and are using the hood, the hood blocks part of the second rangefinder window, and because of that, it gets a bit annoying to focus correctly, but it can still be done: the part right-under of the RF patch is blocked, the left-upper part can still be used.

I use the 21mm Elmarit on the CLE with a Leica 21mm finder; the CLE VF is rather blocked by the large Elmarit, but the depth of field is so big on that lens that it is purely academic to spend time focusing this wide-angle lens on a full frame camera. Just use the depth of field scale it's quicker and trivial
