I have a very nice CLE and would like to apply a +1 diopter to the viewfinder but not sure if it can be done. Does anyone know if such a thing was ever available? If so, still available? Or does one have to have one made (maybe by resizing one made for a Mamaya 7)?
Any info or thoughts?
Have sent an inquiry to Precision Camera repair.

Minolta made a range of diopter for the CLE called Eyepiece Corrector Vn 1-9 depending on what you need. No longer made but you see them pop up for sale. You have to keep and eye out or add it to your Ebay search maybe.

These diopter correction lenses are shared with the ones from the X series manual focus Minolta SLR's. KEH has a +0.5 (VN1) and +1.5 (VN3) in stock, so a +1 is probably a VN2. Remember, the camera has a built-in power of -0.6 diopter, so maybe a VN3 will get you close to what you want with a net of +0.9 diopter assuming the powers are actual as marked and not the way Nikon does it where the diopter power marked on the accessory diopter is actually the net total with the camera's built-in -1 diopter. I think Minolta's is actual, not net.

Many thanks. Makes the difference between keeping/using/enjoying and eventually selling because of lack of use.
