Hi All...

I'm left-eye dominant, and I enjoy leaving the CV 75/2.5's small, dedicated V/F on top of the Fed-2. The area outside of the frame lines brings me close enough to a bright 50mm, when the Fed-2's finder is dim.

So, I tend to have oily skin, thus, when I focus the R/F... the back end of the 75 V/F is resting against my forehead, and it gets greased up 🙄

THE TASK:
I'd like to make a small collar for the V/F... which will protrude 2-3mm to the rear, thus preventing contact of the rear element of the V/F, with my forehead. One idea I had was with a bit of leather strap, or with cardboard & tape. I like the edge softness of the leather, yet the question is: HOW to attach it to the V/F, without glue or sticky substances.

Feedback and bright ideas are very welcome!
Thanks, mike

Hmm...
'O' rings [NOT strap lug rings] are open at the ends. If I could find one large enough in the nearby hobby shop or auto supply store, this could do the trick.

The spring tension of the metal would sort of clamp the leather,
fitted around the small CV V/F.
Thanks! mike
