We arrived to cold weather in Amsterdam and bought the coats and hat there.

Another beautiful archaeological series: I very like discover Paris before my arrival. Good 'souvenirs', I think...
 
Paris, as many European historic cities, changes in appearance of persons or the environment (clothes, cars) rather than in the structure. For example, this shop Villeroy & Boch could still be on the boulevard Saint-Germain... Perhaps, the greatest transformations are not in the center, but in the suburbs. [Rob, please excuse my terrible English...]
 
Ah, thanks for posting these! Nice to see some photos of Amsterdam around that time, I walk around those areas so often (of course, not back then, as I was just 4 years young) :)
 
more time travel... these are all Agfachrome from Amsterdam in 1983.

The leaf on this sign looks suspiciously unlike any kind of coffee plant.

not a clue what the intended effect was here, but I'm fairly certain that, whatever it was, it failed to reach its objective.
