.. thanks for looking. I appreciate it! I'll have a hard copy of the book on 5/27 and am curious to see what I'll think of it. I did my best to lighten images for printing and hope I judged correctly. I wanted to use Blurb's new BookWright software, but I didn't have the time to decipher all it's nuances, and used BookSmart instead -- which is helpful because I can copy a previous book and have my basic structure to work from.
Scanning: For color scanning one can use the ICE dust removal -- which works great. But with black and white, I have to magnify to 86 percent and remove dust and any scratches -- this chore takes forever and is boring. So, I'm glad I plowed through 3 months of shooting, and have that off my to-do list.
For design - and I hope I like it when I see it -- I tried to get some inspiration from my favorite photo book publisher - Steidl. I like their minimalist approach and the use of the occasional blank white or black pages.
Well, this was a nice way to review my 100 or so favorite photos over the last three months. Thanks again for taking the time to look...
